MentalStrategien for Ph.D. candidates

Studies show that doctoral students often face heightened stress, which increases their risk of mental health issues. To proactively address these challenges, the “Mental Strategies for Ph.D. candidates” program is once again being offered in cooperation with the Technical University of Braunschweig and Techniker Krankenkasse.

This program is specifically tailored to the needs and challenges of Ph.D. candidates:

The training focuses on practical strategies for managing stress in a healthy and constructive way during the doctoral program. Topics such as stress management, self-care, and the right mindset are covered. An initial evaluation of the training revealed a high level of satisfaction among participants, with 90% reporting that they were somewhat to very satisfied.

“Mental Strategies for Ph.D. candidates” consists of the following five sessions:

Session 1: May 11, 2026 – Stress and Its Effects
Session 2: May 18, 2026 – Protecting Yourself from Stress
Session 3: June 1, 2026 – It’s All About Mindset
