The Academic Bicycle Challenge is taking place again this year, and under the motto “Moving OVGU Together,” we’ll be participating once more during the campaign month of June 2026.

The Sports Center team will host the 2026 Uni-Hochhauslauf on April 29, 2026, at the Campus Tower.

The first race will be the 16th Children’s University Hochhauslauf, and the second race will be the 27th Uni-Hochhauslauf. The course: a 60-meter “run-up” in front of the building, 8 steps leading to the entrance, and then 14 floors with 2 sets of 8 steps per floor—for a total of 232 steps.

OVGU will once again participate in the EU Green Step Counting Competition in 2026. Starting April 14, the motto is “Every step counts!”
